
Elizabeth Turesky , Assistant Professor of Leadership & Organizational Studies
Case Western Reserve University, PhD.
Prior to coming to the University of Southern Maine Professor Turesky held faculty positions at The University of New Hampshire and Colby College. She has complemented her twenty-five years of graduate and undergraduate teaching with twenty years in private practice as an Organizational Development consultant working primarily with the public and non-profit sectors, including five years as Director of Training and Development for the City of Portland, Maine. She has lead organizational change efforts, workshops and presented at conferences throughout New England on Change Management, Group Dynamics, Conflict Management and Leadership in Ethical Decision-Making.
Turesky teaches LOS and MLS courses in Organizational Change and Development, Interpersonal Behavior, Group Dynamics, Conflict Management, Training and Development, Ethics, Leadership, and other courses related to Organizational Behavior and Development.
She also coordinates the Community Leadership Initiative Program. Her research concentrates on the leadership challenges for marginalized populations including learning styles, cognitive development and community engagement.
