Cathy Harman has been hired as administrative assistant for the dean's office. She will provide administrative support to the Dean, Director of Administration, and Director of Institutional Reporting, and will support to full and part time faculty. In her position, she will maintain vital staff and faculty information as well as departmental projects Harman brings to USM an extensive background in administrative support. She resides in Poland with her husband.

 Kim Jenkins has been hired as Director of Student Services and Diversity. Her responsibilities include overseeing Advising and Student Services at USM’s Lewiston-Auburn College, as well as coordinating with the offices of Financial Aid, Undergraduate and Graduate Admission, Registrar, Counseling, the Diversity Committee and other offices on all three USM campuses. Kim began as an employee at USM in 1998, working on the Portland and Gorham campuses in Advising Services and the Department of Student and University Life. She left in 2005, and during her absence from USM continued her work in Student Services at a college in England. She received a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Science degree, both from USM.

Margaret Park has been promoted to Advisor and Community/Alumni Liaison for USM’s Lewiston-Auburn College. In addition to providing comprehensive advising services to admitted and potential students, she will be responsible for coordinating outreach efforts with local educational coalitions and social service institutions. Additionally, she will coordinate alumni and annual fund activities with the USM Development Office. Park began working for USM-LAC Student Services in 1998 and holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts degree, both from USM.
