The Office of Community Service at USM's Lewiston-Auburn College will host a student-led discussion as part of USM's 2007-2008 Gloria S. Duclos Convocation Series theme of Academic Freedom on Wednesday, March 19 from 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm in Room 170. Through interactive discussions and vignettes the conversation entitled "The Place of Ideology in the Classroom" will focus on the roles and responsibilities of students and teachers with regard to issues of ideology in the classroom and on campus.
An informal portion includes light refreshments starting at 5:00 with the structured formal event beginning at 5:30. This event is free and open to the public.
