Franco-American Heritage Collection at
L-A College Receives Clock
This
rare nineteenth century Continental Mill clock was recently
presented to the Franco-American Heritage Collection at USM’s
Lewiston-Auburn College. The clock was donated by Madeleine
Giguere of Lewiston, pictured here, professor emeritus of
sociology at USM and a long-time patron of the Collection.
It had been given to her father, Dr. Eustache Giguere, upon
his retirement as mill physician in 1965. Anyone who wishes
to see the clock or view other valuable holdings at the Franco-American
Heritage Collection may visit anytime Mondays and Wednesdays,
8:30 - 5:00, or Thursdays, 8:30 - noon. Please call 753-6545.
