LOS 345, HUM 345, LOS 631

NEW Leadership & Humanities course for fall 2014:

LEADERSHIP & FILM (LOS 345, HUM 345, LOS 631)

Like literature, film allows for an exploration of various themes and experiences that would not normally be available to an individual.  This course seeks to capture this opportunity by seeking to understand leadership as it is presented in various films.  Through the use of film, we will explore themes relating to leadership such as power, influence, oppression, ethics, service, and more.

Featured films:

  • Lincoln
  • Made in Dagenham
  • Dead Poets Society
  • District 9
  • On the Waterfront
  • Doubt

No previous leadership coursework required. Questions about the course? Contact Brian Davenport, bdavenport@usm.maine.edu
