SBS 399 and LOS 599 Integrating Mindfullness Based Stress Reduction

Week of June 3rd 8:30AM – 3:30PM

This week-long intensive is offered to both Graduate and Undergraduate students as a 3 credit course. The majority of the course is experiential, asking for a commitment from students for 100% attendance and up to three hours of homework each evening for five days. Following the course, homework is for two weeks for undergraduate students, and three weeks for graduate students. We will study and practice Mindfulness in a way that integrates it into everyday life as well as into your field of study.  

Nancy Hathaway, M.Ed., IPDH, LpastC, is a licensed psychotherapist and workshop leader using Mindfulness-based therapy. She interned with Jon Kabat-Zinn, PhD at the University of Massachusetts Medical Hospital and worked with him developing Mindfulness in the prison system in the Massachusetts. She has taught Mindfulness at Colby College, Harvard University’s Work and Family Center, MIT, UMaine, USM, Maine Medical Center for physicians, nurses. She is published by Shambhala Publications and by North Atlantic Books.
