Some Changes You Should Know About

As a cost cutting measure the University of Southern Maine (USM)/Senior College will no longer pay the charge for the use of credit cards. Therefore:

• Senior College will no longer accept payment by credit card or cash
• Payments must be made by personal check or money order

Many courses have a maximum number of people who can be enrolled - limited by the size of the rooms that USM makes available and by the class size instructors can handle. We have a first come, first served policy. The postmark date on mail will determine who will be enrolled in a course and the order of the waiting list. Therefore,

• All registration forms must be mailed in
• There will be no more "walk-in" registrations

Send your registration in early to assure your  place in courses you want!

The Food for Thought preview of courses featuring presentations by instructors will not be held this September: it would be too close to the last day of registration, September 17. It does not seem fair to promote interest in courses at a preview if they are already full. 

There will be a Food for Thought luncheon on September 11, but on a different subject than Fall courses.
 
The good news is that we will be offering 14 courses this Fall - the most we have ever offered.
