Tammy Bickmore

Tammy earned her AS degree in Occupational Therapy from Manchester Community College and both BS and MS degrees in OT from the University of New Hampshire. Currently, she is pursuing her OTD from Chatham University. For the past 22 years, Tammy has worked with adults in both physical and mental health practice settings including inpatient, outpatient, acute care, rehabilitation, home care and skilled nursing. She also worked in several management and leadership positions in New England before moving back to her birth state of Maine.

Tammy co-owns New England Care Services, a private practice providing quality outpatient and consultation services with a focus on geriatric care including care for persons with dementia and their family/support systems. Tammy is currently developing training programs for caregivers about the benefits of engagement in occupation as well as providing occupation-focused care for persons relocating to assisted living or other supportive residential environments. She is particularly interested in the role occupational therapy can play in these transitions. Tammy and her partner spend most of their free time traveling and visiting family here in the United States and Europe.
