USM's Lewiston-Auburn College will once again sponsor this year's Student Competition division for the 2014 Lewiston-Auburn Film Festival (LAFF).
The semi-final rounds featuring a collection of the best films submitted will take place at USM LAC on February 15 and March 15, starting at 6:30 p.m. in room 170.
Any person under 18 as of Dec. 31, 2013 or any person under the age of 22 still enrolled in a post-secondary school is eligible to compete in one of two categories: Short film (10-45 minutes), Micro Short (0-10 minutes).
Winners of these rounds will advance to the main festival which will be held April 4-6 this year. The Festival features documentary, short and feature length films and networking opportunities at the festival’s various events. Held over the course of three days, patrons will receive a schedule of events allowing them to pick, a la carte, which programs they wish to attend. All films and events are held at various venues in the Twin Cities.
