Sandi has nearly thirty years of administrative assistance in education. She began her career in the Lewiston School System in 1985 and is proud to have been part of the grand opening of the new Poland Regional High School/Bruce M. Whittier Middle School in the Fall of 1999. Her skills then took her to RSU 16 Central Office as Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent.
She left education briefly and entered the private sector. She soon realized she missed the daily interactions with students and faculty. She joined USM LAC in November 2001 in the Dean’s office and has served as support for College for ME-Androscoggin. In addition to being the Internship Coordinator she is also liaison for USM LAC’s Senior College.
She is a 2003 graduate of the Androscoggin County Chamber ALDI program and has taken numerous courses on campus to sharpen her skills and be able to interact with students. She was also the founding co-chair for the campus Safety and Security Committee and was a vital part of the team which created the policies we now have in place.
In her spare time, Sandi enjoys what Maine has to offer - whether it’s spending time with family, snowshoeing, paddle boarding, kayaking, hiking or taking in scenery on the motorcycle with her husband and friends.
