Prior to coming to the University of Southern Maine, Professor Turesky held faculty positions at The University of New Hampshire and Colby College. She has complemented twenty-five years of graduate and undergraduate teaching with twenty years in private practice as an Organizational Development consultant working primarily with the public and non-profit sectors, including five years as Director of Training and Development for the City of Portland, Maine. She teaches courses in Organizational Change and Development, Interpersonal Behavior, Group Dynamics, Conflict Management, Training and Development, and Ethics. Dr. Turesky earned her BA in Psychology from Wheaton College, an M.P.A. from the University of Colorado, and Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior from Case Western Reserve University. Her research concentrates on the development of leadership capacity for women, emergent learning, and integrating theory and practice.
