Study Abroad

As a student at USM, we don’t just bring the world to you, we bring you to the world. Through partner schools in London and Ireland, and programs such as The College Consortium for International Studies (CCIS), the Institute for Study Abroad at Butler University, and Australearn, you can fulfill your credits across many majors while filling your passport with immigration stamps from foreign countries. Imagine practicing your Spanish in Spain, studying James Joyce just miles away from his Irish birthplace, or seeing the new face of international business in Beijing. There are opportunities for all majors, and you don’t have to speak a foreign language. Check below for requirements and current programs, or check in with the Office of International Studies to find out everything you’d want to know.

Requirements:

  • Highly motivated, curious, and personally flexible students are encouraged to apply.
  • A minimum G.P.A. of 2.5 (though some programs require 3.0).
  • A minimum of 24 credits from USM (Junior year is an ideal time to take part).
  • Must declare a major.
