Getting Involved

Welcome to the MASAP Website. MASAP was founded in 1989 to encourage student affairs practitioners in the state of Maine to gather and share experiences and expertise with other Maine practitioners. There are many ways in which to become involved in MASAP, first and most importantly we hope that you will start by becoming a member. Your membership fee is used to support our annual Fall Conference and Spring Summit as well as the bi-annual Student Leadership Conference. MASAP also provides a mentoring program for our members to connect with new and seasoned professionals from around the state. For those interested in becoming more involved we invite you to join us for a MASAP Planning Board Meeting. The MASAP Planning Board meetings are open to all MASAP members. The Board meets approximately once a month during the academic year and once over the summer break. Meetings are hosted on a rotating basis by campuses around the state. The Planning Board is responsible for planning conferences and organizing other MASAP programs. While formal positions do exist on the Board, we are always happy to welcome members who wish to join us to help with the Board’s work and to network with other professionals from around the state. Please feel free to email or call me if you have any questions about MASAP and how to get more involved.

Sincerely,

WElcome Note
