The Department of Modern and Classical Languages and Literatures offers a uniquely rich and diverse humanities education with courses in Classics, French, Spanish, German, Italian, and Chinese.  The study of world languages, cultures, and literatures provides students marketable skills for a wide variety of professions in the global marketplace.

Einstein Being Goofy
We are starting a German language table at USM for all speakers of German who would like to get together for conversation -- USM students, family, friends. We will meet next Wednesday, September 17 for the first time: WANN? From 1:45 to 2:45 Wo? At the International Languages House at 102 Bedford St., ground floor conference room. Please feel free to bring your lunch or refreshments -- and a laptop to view German websites for topics of interest for discussion. WICHTIG! We will leave our English at the door and speak GERMAN. All levels are welcome!
