Maine Law Expert On Political Terrorism

University of Maine School of Law Professor James Friedman, who recently returned from the Israeli-Lebanese border, is available for interviews on the cease-fire between Israel and Hezbollah forces. 

Friedman also can address a range of legal and ethical issues related to terrorism threats around the world, including British, Israeli, and American responses to terrorist attacks. 

Friedman has taught courses on the relationship between law and terrorism since 1990. In addition to full-time teaching responsibilities at the University of Maine School of Law at USM, Friedman has examined the detention of terrorist suspects, and other legal and ethical issues posed by counterterrorism as a visiting professor at University College Galway, Ireland; The Hebrew University of Jerusalem; and at The United States Military Academy at West Point.
