Multicultural Center Open House Slated for February 8

Stop in the Multicultural Center located in the Woodbury Campus Center on USM’s Portland campus during the Center’s open house from 12:30-2 p.m., Wednesday, February 8.  The Center recently received new computers thanks to Provost Joseph Wood and Director of Libraries David Nutty.

Co-Interim Director of the Multicultural Center Donna Loring worked with Nutty, Wood and Coordinator of Information Literacy Barbara Mann to get the new computers– effectively bringing the library directly to USM’s multicultural students.  Plans are being made to provide library staff in the Center periodically to help students with their research needs.  USM Libraries also is producing research guides and Web links that will help guide our students to multicultural services and organizations off campus.

The entire USM community is invited to visit during the open house to meet Center staff and the students who frequent the Center.
