USM Chamber Singers Spring Concert

USM Chamber SingersThe USM Chamber Singers are the university’s premiere a cappella vocal ensemble. Their annual spring concert, conducted by Robert Russell, professor of music and choral activities, will feature three selections from Sergei Rachmaninoff’s All-Night Vigil, Murray Schafer’s atmospheric Epitaph for Moonlight, Eric Whitacre’s Water Night, the continuation of the premiere season of USM sophomore music major Matthew LaBerge’s Guiding Light, and spirituals from the African-American tradition.

$12 Suggested donation at the door.

USM Portland and Gorham campuses closing at 1 PM today.

Return of the Maine Bones concert for tonight, Friday, January 30 is postponed to Saturday, January 31 at 8 p.m. If you have made reservations for tonight, they will be honored on Saturday night. Reservations can still be made for Saturday night at usm.maine.edu/music/boxoffice.

 

USM Portland and Gorham will close at 1 PM on Friday, January 30. Classes, events and activities starting at 1 PM or later have been cancelled. All ONLINE courses will be held as scheduled unless notified by course instructor.
