Kate is a senior manager/senior policy associate for the Violence against Women Measuring Effectiveness Initiative at the Muskie School at the University of Southern Maine (USM). Before joining the Muskie School staff, Kate worked for six years with the Maine Small Business Development Centers (Maine SBDC) at USM as Director of Training & Communications. While at Maine SBDC, her work with women entrepreneurs led her to develop a quantitative study of almost 400 women business owners for her Master's Degree Capstone in 2008.
