March 21, 2014

Planning is the career for those who want to affect the natural, built, and human environments of communities large and small. Planners work in environmental management, housing, transportation, and economic development. They combine technical skills with the skills to help diverse groups come together to shape the future. It is a great career for those interested in the environment, sustainability, community vitality and social justice.

This session will give students in Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont interested in a career in planning to hear from people who have made it their career in Maine and Northern New England and to learn about the opportunities to prepare for a career in planning at the University of Southern Maine’s Muskie School of Public Service.
