Join us for a celebration of student filmmakers at our 9th annual USM Student Picture Show! The screening of original films will take place on Thursday, May 9th at 7:15 pm in the Talbot Auditorium, USM Portland campus.
This selection of shorts features some of Portland's best acting talent and showcases the skills students have spent a semester honing in Advanced Production, a course team-taught by Kate Kaminski and Nat Ives since 2003.

Also screening will be a new comedy directed by Jedidiah Allen that he produced as an Independent Study.

We've got it all in one show: drama, comedy, thriller, and experimental films! Come out on May 9th and support USM student filmmakers -- you'll be glad you did.
Free and open to the public!

The Cinema Studies Minor

Cinema Film Studies Still

The Cinema Studies minor offers students a multidimensional understanding of film as form of art, product of industry, and mode of communication. The program can serve as a base of knowledge for students intending to enter careers in the media, as a foundation for further study, and/or as the opportunity to gain deeper insight into one of the most culturally significant media of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries.  For more information, contact Matthew Killmeier.
