CTEL - Conference Travel Award

Up to four awards per semester (Fall and Spring semesters) will be granted to faculty traveling to academic conferences to present papers related to teaching and learning. Faculty teaching classes in face-to-face, blended, and online formats are encouraged to apply. Reward amount is limited to 1,500 per proposal and faculty per academic year. Award money can be used to cover conference registration, airfare, and lodging for the duration of the conference.

 

Proposal Review Process

Please email a copy of the accepted proposal and the acceptance email to Khusro Kidwai (khusrokidwai@usm.maine.edu)

A review committee comprised of CTEL staff and USM faculty will review the proposals. If your travel award is funded you may be invited to present your work to the USM community at a CTEL Speaker Series (https://www.usm.maine.edu/ctel/ctel-speaker-series) presentation.

Note:The administration of this travel award is through department/school reimbursement. Once all of the expenses have been incurred by your department, the department's financial manager must contact PCE accounts manager Cherie Tate at ctate@usm.maine.edu to initiate a journal entry transfer.  All journal entries must be completed before the end of the fiscal year during which the award was granted.
