News & Events

On November 9, ESOL and International students had a fun day at the local bowling center, Easy Day in South Portland. Students and instructors participated in this afternoon excursion to learn about and participate in a game of bowling.
Students of USM's ESOL program had the opportunity to participate in a New England tradition on October 7 on an apple picking excursion to beautiful Libby & Sons orchards in Limerick, Maine.
On October 8, students in the ESOL program's grammar courses had the opportunity to work with USM's Tourism and Hospitality students to discuss food and culture in preparation for the upcoming Husky Harvest Festival.

The Summer Intensive English Language Program (IELP) is for students who want to improve their academic English language skills...and to have fun learning about the Maine coast and its unique history and culture.
