Certificate of Advanced Study in Nursing - Post-Masters Certificate of Advanced Study
The post-master's certificate of advanced study in nursing is designed to meet the educational needs of the masters-prepared registered nurse interested in obtaining preparation as an advanced practice nurse (APN) whose master's degree was not in an advanced practice specialty. Students enrolled in this program join the master's students enrolled in the respective concentrations.
Post-Masters Certificate of Advanced Study - available areas of specializations:
- Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
- Family Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (FPMH/NP)
- Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP) (program suspended Jan. 1, 2012)
- Adult Health Clinical Nurse Specialist (AHCNS) (program suspended Jan. 1, 2012)
- Adult Psychiatric/Mental Health Clinical Nurse Specialist (APMH/CNS) (program suspended Jan. 1, 2012)
- Adult Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (APMH/NP) (program suspended Jan. 1, 2012)
Program Requirements: Master's prepared nurses without an advanced practice specialty.
