A first-in-Maine doctoral program aimed at training nurses to be policy makers and procedural experts will graduate its first class Friday, Dec. 18 at the University of Southern Maine.

May 15, 2016 is the application deadline for the newly revised Doctor of Nursing Practice program. The new program is online with an on-campus residency component. 

Change in Masters Option program prerequisites

Attention Applicants to the Masters Option Program for Non-Nurses:

For May 2017 admission, the School of Nursing has changed the requirements for the Masters Option program:
Minimum GPA 3.3 
Prerequisite courses (minimum grade B- in these courses):

  • Statistics
  • Anatomy & Physiology I & II or equivalent (lectures only)
  • Microbiology (lecture only)
