Environmental Archaeology Approaches in Casco Bay and at the Isles of Shoals

Presenter: Nathan D. Hamilton, PhD, Associate Professor of Archaeology, Muskie School of Public Service, USM

Using new analytical techniques, fascinating knowledge has been gained about the marine environment around Malaga Island, Great Diamond Island in Casco Bay, and Smuttynose Island at the Isles of Shoals. Highlighted will be significant advances in geoscience and environmental sciences as they relate to New England preservation and public policy.
