The Ask OLLI blog is a resource for Osher Lifelong Learning Institute administrators to facilitate discussion on a variety of topics related to the creation and management of OLLI institutes nationwide.

Entries to the blog are called "posts" and can only be submitted by blog editors. Please contact Anne Cardale at the OLLI National Resource Center if you have an article suggestion for the AskOLLI editors.

Each post has a "comment" section where blog subscribers can submit their own remarks and responses to the post. A subscriber must be logged in to comment on a post. A login link is available at the bottom of the right-hand column, as well as at the end of each posting page.

Have you gone to an entirely online course registration system at your Osher Institute that only permits your members to select courses online? If so, what type of feedback (both good and bad) have you received from your members?

  1. We offer on line, phone, and mail in registration. I can’t imagine taking away any of these as our members have strong preferences. Also, some members don’t have the technology or the skill to register on line.

  2. We have gone entirely online which has reduced our registration fees dramatically. We did loose a number of members, others adjusted by having loved ones or friends help. Alternatively, we have a good number that love the convenience and the administrative advantages are numerous. Good luck! Call to talk more! Natalie
