New Award - Professional Education

Nationally, and all across Maine, educators and policy makers are interested in identifying strategies to track student academic progress. Considerable attention is being given to assess student progress using some type of Growth Model. Many models have been proposed, and school districts and states need to determine which model(s) work best for which purposes. This proposal describes one strategy for analyzing two types of growth models using student performance data for Portland School District elementary schools.
