Bernadette has been a practicing physical therapist in the United States for the past 27 years, although she initially planned to stay for two years and gain experience in neuro-trauma and rehabilitation. Her area of expertise is adult rehabilitation with a focus on brain injury, stroke, and complex medical conditions. Currently, Bernadette works with the geriatric population and is interested in their ability to remain active participants in their community. Her most recent clients are over the age of 95, and they inspire her to make the most of every day.
Bernadette works closely with OTs in clinical practice and training and is interested in inter-professional education and practice to better meet the needs of clients.
With her free time, Bernadette enjoys traveling, visiting family in the Netherlands, running, and photography.
