Hosted by the USM School of Education and Human Development Advisory Council, the two-hour event includes a keynote address by education expert and author Bea McGarvey, virtual tour of school districts in action using customized learning, a question and answer session, and a book signing after the presentation. The Professional Development Center is now offering an RTI Certificate program at University Colleges and Centers. This cohort will meet the requirements for the certificate of graduate study in Response to Intervention: Behavior with the option to participate in coursework to complete the certificate of graduate study in Response to Intervention: Academic.

Understanding a Framework for K-12 Science Education: the path to preparing for the Next Generation Science Standards July 19 and August 16, 2012 Spend two mornings this summer learning about the ideas in A Framework for K-12 Science Education and the Next Generation Science Standards. Join Maine Department of Education Science Specialist Anita Bernhardt to learn more about the Crosscutting Concepts and the Core Disciplinary Ideas of Engineering and Technology.
