CMA Test Prep

Invest in comprehensive CMA exam preparation. USM Professional & Continuing Education, in partnership with IMA Southern Maine, now offers an instructor-led CMA exam preparation course, IMA’s CMA Learning System (CMALS). This comprehensive program combines printed materials and online components with the expertise of an instructor and the discipline of a classroom setting.

These instructor-led review courses will be delivered in two convenient courses, mirroring the two parts of the CMA exam.

Please note: The Institute of Certified Management Accountants is implementing changes to the Certified Management Accountant exam beginning in January, 2015.  Changes will impact approximately 10 percent of the exam content.  These changes are being made to keep the exam current with the skills required of management accountants and are based on a survey of Chief Financial Officers. Additional content related to financial reporting and strategic planning will be added to the exam.

“The CMA has given me a tremendous amount of value. Not just on the financial end of things, but because I’ve gained broad-based accounting knowledge. I’ve been able to advance my career because that knowledge translates into benefits for the companies I work for.”

Tammy Drescher, CMA Senior Cost Accountant, Diamond Foods, Inc.

“I use my CMA body of knowledge every day. It comes naturally in the role of CFO, because I need it to look at things from many different angles, not just from the financial perspective. Management accounting skills are very much in demand as foreign and local companies reach out from the local marketplace and into more global arenas. The CMA body of knowledge is very valuable in this regard.”

John K. Lau, CMA Chief Financial Officer, WesTrac China
