USM to Host Open House for Adults, Transfers & Graduate Students
On November 13th, USM is hosting an Open House for people considering transferring to USM, returning to school to complete their degrees, or attending Graduate School.
RSVP for this event
USM has many students who don’t fit the traditional model: one third of USM students are over 25, half have transferred from other colleges, and one third attend part-time. The Open House is designed to be a welcoming first step for non-traditional students and help them find the educational path that is right for them.
Hosted by Undergraduate Admission, Graduate Admissions and Professional and Continuing Education, this event is part of a concerted effort to help more people with some college experience complete a degree and remind those interested in expanding their education that pursuing their master’s degree at USM is a viable and competitive option.
Representatives from academic programs will be on hand to discuss degree possibilities at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Student Services representatives will be available to help potential students begin to find a way to achieve their goals and fit education into their busy lives.
The event will take place from 4:30 to 6:30pm on November 13 in the Abromson Community Education Center at 88 Bedford Street on the USM Portland campus.
