Integrating Mindfulness into Work, Family, Health, & Relationship

One week intensive week of June 3rd

 

Integrating Mindfulness into Work, Family, Health, & Relationship is a Three Credit Undergraduate SBS 399 and Graduate SBS 599 Course offered at the USM Lewiston Auburn College campus as a five-day intensive the week of June 3rd.

 

The course is based on the work of Jon Kabat-Zinn, founder of the University of Massachusetts Hospital's Mindfulness program.

 

Instructor Nancy Hathaway interned with Kabat-Zinn and then worked with him, when he founded Mindfulness Project in the prisons. She has been teaching Mindfulness for 20 years and studying for 40 years. She is published on the subject by Shambhala Publications.

 

The course focuses on Mindfulness practices for self-learning as well as integrating into Education, counseling, healthcare specifically and into any area the student is interested in.
