NEXT SCIENCE LECTURE: "Infinity, Intuition, Imagination and Mathematics"
Thursday, June 21, 2012 7:00 p.m.
The next Southworth Planetarium science lecture is a exploration of the mathematical Universe. Mathematical principles govern our cosmos, but it also influences our intuitive perceptions of reality and even enriches the imaginary worlds we construct.
USM Mathematics professor Dr. Daniel Bravo guides us on a fascinating odyssey through the complex, beautiful realm of mathematics.
Admission by donation.
Call 207-780-4249 or e-mail egleason@usm.maine.edu for more information. Reservations are not required.
What can you do at the Southworth Planetarium? See a show, enroll in a class, attend a lecture, buy fascinating science toys, explore our exhibit area, learn the night sky.
We are open throughout the week. Not only do we have public shows, but we offer private shows to school groups, scout troops, birthday parties, business organizations, and more.
Like the Universe, itself, the more you explore the planetarium, the more you'll discover!
