The Southworth Planetarium is introducing a brand new organization devoted to the study and discussion of the world's stone circles and other megalithic structures that pockmark the globe.

Standing stones 2

We want to know if YOU might be interested in joining us!    We are just starting this society.    There are no initiation fees and the only pre-requisite is an interest in learning more about these fascinating ancient structures.

NEXT MEETING: Monday, January 14, 2013   7:00 p.m.

If you'd like more information, please e-mail  egleason@usm.maine.edu

Our aim is to conduct monthly meetings in which we study different stone circle structures.   We also have plans to design our own to one day be erected somewhere in the Southern Maine area.

Explore the mysterious world of standing stones.
