The USM History and Political Science Department with Multicultural Student Affairs presents Contesting and Celebrating Citizenship:  Commemorating the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Thursday, February 13th, 2014 in the University Events Room, 7th Floor of the Glickman Library at 6:00 pm.  Event speakers include attorney and author Hugh MacMahon, USM Asst. Professor Leroy Rowe, USM Assoc. Professor Eileen Eagan, Co-Chair of the African American Collection Advisory Committee Ida Gammon-Wilson, and MLK's Poor People's Campaign Information Director Eric Blanchard.  Please join us for light refreshments and what promises to be an interesting panel presentation about the Civil Rights Act.
