Elise J. Bolda

Professor Bolda teaches courses in Health Systems Organization and Management, Health Information Management, Health Planning and Marketing, and Long Term Care, Aging and Disability Policy, and she facilitates the MPH Professional Development and Capstone Seminars, and she is the Director of the USM Interdisciplinary Gerontology Certificate. Dr. Bolda’s most recent research included leading a team of students, alumni and professional staff conducting the Vermont Hospice Study (2015). Her portfolio includes: serving as Project Director for North Carolina’s Dual Eligible Planning Grant to develop a strategic framework and implementation plan for an integrated delivery model to meet the needs of those eligible for Medicare and Medicaid from 2011 to 2014, serving as National Program Director for the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation's Community Partnerships for Older Adults initiative from 2000-2010, and serving as project director on multiple applied policy analyses for Maine's Bureau of Medical Assistance and Maine's Bureau of Elder and Adult Services from 1995 to 2000). She also has served as Principal Investigator (PI) for several Maine Rural Health Research Center. Elise began her career working with older adults and adults with disabilities, community leaders, and state policy makers in Vermont and in North Carolina.
