Area Gallery hours are Monday through Friday 7 a.m.-10 p.m. Members of smudge will give a free public lecture at 1 p.m. on Friday, October 19, in USM’s Burnham Lounge, Robie Andrews Hall, Gorham. For more information, see USM Art Galleries or call 207-780-4008.
smudge is a Brooklyn-based collaboration between artist, designer and independent scholar Jamie Kruse and New School Professor of Media Studies Elizabeth Ellsworth. Their work "meets sites and moments where the geologic and the human converge." They will conduct a workshop on a Casco Bay Lines mail boat tour with USM art students where they will create material for the exhibit.
