A Consumer Forum to give the public a chance to learn more about signing up for the Affordable Care Act will take place from 7-8:30 p.m., Wednesday, December 4 in USM's Talbot Auditorium, Luther Bonney Hall on the Portland campus. It is free and open to all members of the public.
This Forum will feature the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Regional Administrator Ray Hurd, who will give an overview and status update of the ACA Marketplace.
Representatives from Maine Community Health Options and Anthem--Portland’s Health Insurance Marketplace Navigators, Opportunity Alliance, and local certified application counselors will also present. A question and answer period will follow. State Senator Justin Alfond is the host.
This event is part of a series of similar events held throughout New England by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and offers an opportunity for you to learn more about signing up for the Affordable Care Act as well as asking policy questions about the legislation.
