Non-matriculated Graduate Students:
Registration begins November 23, 2009

Registration and paymnet will occur in MaineStreet (PeopleSoft)

A new provision allows non-matriculated graduate students to register for graduate courses beginning on November 23, 2009.  In order to register, students will need to be “active” graduate students in the university computer system. To check on student status, please call one of the following:

Students not admitted to the University wanting to register for Graduate level (500 & above) classes may begin registering November 23, 2009

Non-Matriculated School of Business Graduate Students

Non-matriculated students are encouraged to contact the Graduate Program Manager, Alice Cash (780-4184 or acash@usm.maine.edu) as early as possible about registration permissions. Non-matriculated students wishing to enroll in School of Business graduate courses must provide proof of eligibility that usually includes transcripts and GMAT scores.

Non-Matriculated & Certificate Students

In the Muskie School of Public Service
Graduate level (having earned a bachelor’s degree) non-matriculated and certificate students may register for Muskie School courses through MaineStreet. Students can only takes courses open to certificate and/or non-matriculated students. They must have fulfilled all listed pre-requisites.  Courses open to certificate and non-matriculated students and required pre-requisites are listed on the Muskie School web site.  Before they can register, new students must have a MaineStreet graduate level record created by the Registrar (207)780-5230. After the record has been created, they must call the HelpDesk at (207)780-4209 to complete the activation of their MaineStreet account.  At that point students can register through MaineStreet.

 Any certificate student who has questions about course selection should contact the certificate program advisor or the Student Affairs Office at (207)780-4864.

Non-Matriculated students wanting graduate nursing classes must go to the CONHP office to register. For more information please contact Dr. Marjorie lawson, Associate Porfessor and Graduate Nursing coordinator at 207-780-4114..

Registration may occur in person at the Registrar’s Office Gorham, Advising Services, Portland, the Business Office at Lewiston Auburn College or any off Campus Center.
