Dates: The Husky Film Festival takes
place on December 4th, 2008
Categories: A category for competition must
be selected by the filmmaker and indicated on the entry form. If no category
is selected, the screening group will assign one.
Categories are: Action, Drama, Comedy,
Documentary, and Animation

Feature
films must be no more than 10 minutes in length. Running time is calculated
by timing the head frame to the first frame of the ending credits.

Films must meet PG-13 guidelines and any film
found to violate the Universities’ Conduct Code will be disqualified
from the competition.

|
All
entries must be submitted for preview on VHS or DVD format.
|
|
•
|
All
entries must either be in English or subtitled in English.
|
|
•
|
Submissions
must be postmarked by Thursday, November 20th, 2008.
|
|
•
|
Entry
forms may be photocopied.
|
|
•
|
Entries
must include a complete list of cast, credits and site any previous works,
song, music etc used.
|
|
•
|
Each
entry must include a three- to four-sentence synopsis of the work. The
synopsis should be a clear and concise description of the plot and/or
premise of the submission and may not exceed 100 words.

|
Two
production photos must be provided. The synopsis and stills may be used in
the festival program and made available to the media.
|
|
•
|
Submitted
films and materials will not be returned.
|
|
•
|
The
USM Husky Film Festival and The University of Southern Maine do not assume
liability for damage to entries due to mishandling or poor packaging during
shipping.

Notification
of selected entries will be completed by Friday, November 27th,
2008
|
|
•
|
Film
presentations are scheduled at the discretion of the University of Southern
Maine Film Festival and are subject to
change.
|
|
•
|
Incomplete
submissions will not be considered.
|
|
•
|
Regardless
of original format, films must be available in VHS or DVD format for
festival presentation.

|
•
|
Submit
a separate form for each entry.
