Denise Nelson

As Director of Residential Life, I am responsible for the condition of the facilities (residence hall and dining), the expertise of staff and the quality of the experience that we offer our students. I have worked in higher education for 30 years and want you to know that you will find that the support and caring offered to all students at USM is excellent. I look forward each year to watching our residential students test their autonomy, form community, get involved in campus life and through it all their growth is often remarkable. I hope that if our department can serve your needs in any way that you won't hesitate to ask.

In my free time, I love spending time at one of our beautiful Maine beaches with my husband and children, reading books and gardening.
