Recreation Leadership students host Halloween for Haiti

October 26, 2013 - Students in USM's recreation leadership class, in partnership with Portland's Community Recreation Department, hosted 'Halloween for Haiti' in Portland's Deering Oaks park. The family events featured candy, pumpkin painting, mask making, and dancing! The Forecaster highlighted the event with a photo of students and attendees dancing to Michael Jackson's "Thriller".

The succesful event raised over $300 for the building of a playground in Haiti.
