Professor Emerita Charlotte Pryor retired from USM in 2014 after serving 15 years in the School of Business. She earned her bachelor's degree at the University of Maryland and master's degree from West Virginia University. She holds a Ph.D. from the Pennsylvania State University. Dr. Pryor began and directed the Accounting Certificate Program and taught courses in Financial, Managerial, Governmental and Nonprofit Accounting, and Accounting Information Systems.
Dr. Pryor published in Journal of Accounting and Finance Research, Advances in Quantitative Analysis of Finance and Accounting, The CPA Journal, and Journal of Cases on Information Technology. She has presented papers at meetings of the American Academy of Accounting and Finance, at the regional meetings of the American Accounting Association, and at the AIS Accounting Educators' conference. She has consulted on accounting information systems for small non-profits.
