Portland -- Dr. John Voyer, professor of business administration in the University of Southern Maine School of Business and the Sam Walton Fellow advisor to the USM Enactus team, has been appointed to a three-year term on the Enactus United States Faculty Advisory Committee.
The committee's members include Sam Walton Fellows from a diverse collection of universities, colleges, and community colleges throughout the United States. Its members play a vital role in lending their expertise to Enactus in their respective areas.
Enactus is a community of student, academic, and business leaders committed to using the power of entrepreneurial action to enable human progress. It establishes student programs on campuses across the nation. Enactus students apply business concepts to develop community outreach projects, transform lives, and shape a better, more sustainable world.
Voyer, who teaches business policy and strategy to senior-level students and a variety of courses in the USM Master of Business Administration program, has served at the university since 1987 and has been a Sam Walton Fellow since 2003. During that time, USM Enactus has completed dozens of community outreach projects and been Enactus Regional Champions seven times.
