Phi Theta Kappa scholarship

Description

The University of Southern Maine, through its Office of Transfer Affairs, supports the education of exemplary students who have earned an associate degree from a community or technical college.  Membership in the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society is a prerequisite for consideration.     

Eligibility

Application for undergraduate admission and FAFSA. Applying for fall admission (preferred) and intending to enroll full-time. Completed USM application on file by May 1 with proof of acceptance. Earned associate degree with subsequent proof. Must be submitted by July 1. Students must also be members of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. They must have a 3.25 GPA and an A.A, A.S. or A.A.S degree from a community or technical college (please note: students with previous bachelor’s degree and non-U.S. citizens are ineligible). 

Award Amount

The minimum award is $500 per semester

Application for undergraduate admission and FAFSA. Applying for fall admission (preferred).

How to Renew

This scholarship is renewable for up to three consecutive semesters with maintenance of a 3.0 GPA while at USM.
