This conference was formally called the Southern Maine Civil Rights Teams Conference.

The mission of the conference is to create a place where different groups, middle and high school youth and educators, work to create welcoming and safe schools come together to exchange ideas and energy to keep the work going.

All middle and high school students, and adult chaperones and educators are welcome to attend.

The day will start with a panel focusing on immigrant and refugees experience in Maine and will end with a panel focusing on the transgender and nongender conforming experience in Maine.

The workshops during the breakout sessions will be interactive and meaningful presentations which focus on understanding differences in middle and high schools.  Presentations are done by youth and/or adults.

At this time, the conference fee is $10 per person.  We are searching for funding and will announce a reduction in fee if we can make it happen.  To register -click-here-
