  • Met at usual time.
  • Discussed about Will meeting with Joe Austin and Chris O’Connor about job internships.
  1. Constitutional Review Committee
  • Motion by Senator Dodge to move all new business to old business, seconded by Senator Frazier.  PASSED.
  • Motion by Senator Dodge to suspend the rules to vote on Constitutional Amendments, seconded by Senator Frazier.  PASSED.
  • Motion by Senator Dodge to limit speaking to two minutes, seconded by Senator Cease.  PASSED.
  • Motion by Senator Dodge to move all unfinished business to after Chenette’s speech, seconded by Senator Frazier.  PASSED.
  1. Finance Committee
  • Met this week.  Reviewed proposals for outdoor recreation club, it’s constitutional.
  • Discussed goals, to extend library hours.  $41,007.03

  1. Student Affairs Committee
  • Went to Lewiston campus for a workshop on diversity. 
  1. Public Relations Committee
  • Met Tuesday.
  • Overlooked two applications to senate and put them in order from most favorable to least.
  • Paul finalized the banner.
  • Working on updating the flyer for the Spring.
  • Hanging the banner outside SGA possibly or in the office to create a more welcoming atmosphere.
  • Holiday Festival was a success!
  • “We should work on maximizing tabling.” – Paul Nelson
  • Noticed that the Chair needs to sit on the PR Committee.

  • Updated mailboxes in the office.
  • Attendance will be reset after the meeting today.
  • All minutes will now be posted to the SGA website from now on.
  • Motion by Senator Lamirande to excuse Senator Webb for finals, seconded by Senator Gattis.  PASSED.
  • Motion to excuse Senator Leighton for family emergency, seconded by Senator Cease.  PASSED.

  • Proposal 42-28 to approve the Community and Therapeutic Recreation Club as a BSO group.

  • Proposal 42-29 to approve $2,600.00 in funding for an SMOR Ski trip.
  1. PASSED.
  • Proposal 42-30 to amend the current SGA constitution in regards to VIC procedure.
  1. Motion by Senator Dodge to go to 5 minute Recess at 1:47PM, seconded by Senator Saxton.  PASSED.
  2. PASSED.
  • Proposal 42-31 to approve the Communications and Media Studies Organization as a BSO group.
  1. PASSED.

 

Motion by Senator Dodge to go into Executive Session, seconded by Senator Gattis.  PASSED.

  • Nominations for Treasurer

1.Senator Cease nominates Senator Blanco, seconded by Senator Kalloch – ACCEPTED

2.Senator Dodge nominates Senator Kalloch, seconded by Senator Cease – ACCEPTED
