One of the nation's leading brief-residency MFA programs, Stonecoast
provides a superb, open-minded, and progressive two-year graduate education
in the art of writing. Semesters begin with stimulating ten-day residencies
at the historic Stone House on the breathtakingly beautiful coast of Maine.
Award-winning faculty guide students in intensive one-on-one tutorials in
creative nonfiction, fiction and popular fiction, or poetry, with additional
opportunities including dramatic writing and cross-genre. Stonecoast's
supportive community helps students to discover their independent voices
while communicating to a wide readership.
