What is Change '09!
It is a half-day leadership conference bringing student leaders from all around southern Maine
together to develop new skills to be more effective leaders.

Student leaders will interact with peers from athletics, Greek life, residential life,
student organizations, student government, and more to:

* attend skill building workshops on relevant leadership issues
* receive some training on creating change
* create action plans to begin impacting change for students in your community

Schedule of Events
10:30am: Registration and Breakfast
11am: Welcome and Keynote Address
11:35am: Workshop Session One
12:20pm: Workshop Session Two
1pm: Lunch
1:45pm: Action Planning Workgroups
2:45: Wrap Up

What workshops will be offered?
Through a series of pre-conference surveys, the following topic areas were identified
as being most needed by student leaders:

*Fundraising
*Personality Styles and Conflict Resolution
*Student organization success (recruitment, retention, motivation, goal setting)
* Diversity and social justice
* Community service and civic engagement
*Personal Action Planning

Registration is FREE for all USM students!
Non-USM student are $10 to cover the cost of lunch and conference materials.
