Gorham police are responding to an incident at 59 South Street in Gorham. The area (south of Main Street) has been cordoned off, and we are strongly advising our campus community to stay away from the area.

The Bangor Daily News profiled USM's new food studies program in a feature story published on Feb. 21. The piece, by reporter Lauren Abbate, was featured in the newspaper's Homestead section and included interviews with Executive Director Michael Hillard and visiting professor Kristen Reynolds.
Maine native Kelly Clements, the United Nations' High Commissioner for Refugees, met with
students and community members during a Feb. 17 discussion at USM's Glickman Library. Clements described the massive challenges created by an estimated worldwide population of 65 million refugees.

The USM Department of Theatre and School of Music will present their quadrennial opera, Otto Nicolai’s “The Merry Wives of Windsor,” on Friday, March 3, through Sunday, March 12 on the Main Stage at Russell Hall in Gorham.
